How to Make Your Own Unique Office Desk

Working hours can be boring. But you can do something about it by simply doing a woodworking project! Make your working hours at your office more enjoyable by making this L Shaped Double X Desk! This is definitely possible to be a DIY project and is simple to make. Follow the steps below for making one:

  • Install the legs to the 2x4s using the system of pocket hole from Kreg Jig type K4 on the 1 ½” setting and using 2 ½” pocket hole screw that are attached along with the wood glue. Repeat this step for at another side of desk.

  • Install the brace to the square and secure the attachment with brad nailer and with wood glue. Repeat the step at another side of the desk.

  • Install the second brace to the square (the 2×4 one) with brad nailer, wood glue, and finish nail. Put the second brace behind the previous brace and make sure all braces are flush one to another. Again, repeat the step at the other side of desk.

  • Attach a bigger brace to the leg using the system of pocket hole from Kreg Jig type K4 and pocket hole screw that are attached along with the wood glue. Then, attach the base of square X with Kreg Jig.

  • Still using Kreg Jig, wood glue, and pocket hole screw, attach the bigger brace to the other base of square X.

  • Then, attach the support brace to another base’s side of square x the using the kreg jig, wood glue, and pocket hole screw. Then, pre-drill the inside side of the brace.

  • Install the support brace to the middle part of square x’s base using the Kreg Jig, wood glue, and hole screws. Then, turn face up the brace.

  • Install the support brace to another base’s side of square x using the Kreg Jig, pocket hole screw that are attached along with the wood glue. Then, pre drill the inside part of the brace for the attachment of the table top of the desk.

  • Install the support brace to the square x base’s middle side with the Kreg Jig and pocket hole screw that are attached along with the wood glue. Turn the brace face up to make it flush with the square x base’s top part.

  • Make the assembly of the top of the desk by attaching the pieces of the table top using the Kreg Jig with pocket hole screw and wood glue. Then, attach the base of the desk using the holes that are already pre-drilled using the Kreg.
