The cutting diagrams can be seen from the pictures. Here are the steps:
For the bottom part of the chest, drill holes onto 3 edges. Then, drill other holes onto 2x2x17 ¾” ends. Connect the bottom panel into 2×2 bottom parts using glue and secure the joint using 1 ¼” screws. Then, attach all 2×2 parts using 2 ½” screws. Make sure that the bottom parts are all even.
Add the bottom panel with four legs and secure the joint using glue and screws.
Drill some holes into the inside parts of side panels. Also prepare some holes which are used to join the side panel with the top panel. Cover the side panel with plywood at both sides. Use ½” plywood for the inside part and ¼” plywood for the outside part. Secure the plywood onto the side panel using 1 ¼” screws and glue. Repeat the same step for all side panels.
Attach the side panels into the bottom using 2 ½” screws, 1 ¼” screws and glue as shown in the picture.
Prepare 33” dividers and drill holes into the bottom part. Attach all dividers into the chest frames; between the front frames. The distance among the dividers is shown in the picture. Make sure to attach the dividers as precise as you can.
At back side of the panel, attach one 1×2 board with 33” thickness. Secure the joint using 1 ¼” screws and glue. Add a 16 13/16 support between the back support and the vertical divider at front side. Also, add 33” thick 1×2 board at bottom and secure it using 3/16” nails or screws.
Then install the drawer slides as directed in the manuals.
Make the chest top by firstly prepare the trim and cover both sides of the trim using plywood. The cutting size is shown in the picture. Then, attach the top into the chest frame using 1 ¼” screws.
Assemble the drawers and secure all drawers using 1 ¼” screws and glue.
Prepare the drawer fronts. Cut the plywood precisely to fit into the openings. If you want to maintain the small gaps between drawer fronts, then cut them 1/8” lesser than the opening sizes. Then, place the drawer fronts onto the drawers using 1 ¼” screws.
Attach the back panel of the chest using 5/8” nails or you can glue and screw it. After the lingerie chest is ready, you can give some wood filler to cover any holes, blemishes or crack. You can also apply the sandpaper block to make it smooth. Cover the chest with coat for protection.
