The dimensions of the project are shown in the picture.
In this project, the wardrobe is completed with drawer faces and front mirror. For the starter, drill some holes onto all plywood side edges. After making the holes, insert 1×2 trims onto the bottoms and the tops of the plywood sides.
Insert the frame legs using 1 ¼” screws into the frame sides. Make sure to drill some holes beforehand. Maintain the evenness of the inside edges.
Connect two frame sides into one using top supports. Drill some holes onto all ends of the supports. Secure the joints using 2 ½” screws.
Insert the shelf onto the bottom frame. Don’t forget to drill some holes onto all sides of the shelf as to attach the trims later on.
Install the wall divider at the center frame. pay attention to all details to ensure that the wall divider is installed squarely in place or else the drawers will fail to properly slide. Make some holes onto the edges of the divider and secure it in place using glue and 1 ¼” screws.
Insert the trims around the bottom shelf. Secure the joints through the pre-drill holes with glue and 1 ¼” screws.
Back to the center divider! Now, insert the trim for both sides of the center divider. Make sure that the trims of the divider are in line with the inside larger compartment. Make some holes onto the edges of the divider and secure the joint using glue and 1 ¼” screws.
Insert the drawer trims. Leave 1/8” gap around the edges of the drawers for easy opening and closing. Make holes onto the underside as for attaching the center trims and legs.
Attach the shelf on top compartment. Make holes and insert the shelf between top trims. Secure the joint using 1 ¼” screws.
Insert the outside trims using 1×3 and 1×2 lumbers. After the trims ready, install the wardrobe top from 2×2 of underside. Make sure the plywood is even and also the overhang is also equal on both sides. Secure the joint using nails.
Make the drawers to fill into the drawer boxes. After the drawers ready, insert them into the wardrobe. Leave ¾” out of the faces for the drawer faces later on.
Complete the construction by making the door faces as well as the hinges. Don’t forget to make the drawer faces and attach them in front of the drawer boxes. Make sure to leave 1/8” gap all over the sides. Secure the joints using glue and 1 ¼” nails.
